CSV to JSON

Convert CSV rows to a JSON array.

How to use CSV to JSON

  1. Paste CSV text or choose a CSV file, then review the detected columns in the preview.
  2. Select the input delimiter and encoding. Keep the first row as keys or turn headers off to export arrays.
  3. Leave type conversion off to preserve values such as 00123, then convert and download the JSON.

What this tool does

Keep values as strings when leading zeros or exact text representation matter.

Example

With headers enabled and type conversion off, sku, units followed by 00123,4 becomes [{"sku":"00123","units":"4"}].

Frequently asked questions

How does the first row affect the JSON?

When the header option is on, the first row supplies object keys. Turn it off to keep each row as an array.

Why are numbers exported as text?

Type conversion is off by default so identifiers and leading zeroes stay unchanged. Turn it on only when numeric and true or false values should become JSON types.
